I have started to edit some more of the material from Manila - starting with a delegate's introduction at the digital creativity workshop. The video is about 1 Mb.

One of the places recommended to me for a holiday is Boracay - if I go there I might have a look at One Crescent Place Hotel which has an elegant web site.

For cyber-literate Koreans – ie, nearly everyone here - the fusion of real and online worlds seems to have become an utter normality. 90 percent of Korean twenty-somethings (and one third of the population as a whole) are cultivating their own “minihompy” (= mini home page) in Cyworld. A Cyworld minihompy differs from a regular blog by featuring an online “miniroom” which complements the owner’s real world home. For Korea-based writer Robert Koehler,“browsing through the countless online photo diaries may be the most addicitive feature of the service”. An Australian artist, Emil Goh, compared the two worlds in “Seoul: Until Now!”.

How sad! An opportunity to meet up with J and D has been too complicated to arrange while they were in London - I would have loved to introduce them to the people and projects at Ultralab, to talk and laugh and share ideas. While I was in Chelmsford, J and D were on a course - and then I had to go to a conference in Cambridge before returning home to North Wales.

The TES Make The Link campaign, with its excellent seven-step guide to linking with other schools, and its useful website forums of good ideas, reminds us just how effective ICT has been in bringing learners together collaboratively.
